    ... minute round trip.

As we disembarked, we asked for local tips on where to eat fresh seafood. We went to Orizodes local tavern, set on the hill above the port of St Nicholas and told them 'Captain Christos sent us'! We were shown the day's catch and allowed to select our preferred fish. It was then put on the BBQ for us, while we enjoyed the view from the terrace. It felt very authentic and ...

After a long ride through Greece we arrived to port Kilini where we took a ferry-boat to port Zante on Zakynthos. From Zante it took us approximately 20min to Laganas, where we were staying. We have decided to just sit and watch the world go by, with our two priest mates. As well the frantic contact with Edward and Victoria, and checking emails. Today, good news, ...

As we had a few hours before boarding required we took time to look at a bit more of Venice this morning, also I had arranged with our hotel manager to take a private water taxi to cruise terminal and this avoid another 2-3 hr public transport episode. Cost was $90 Euros for about 1/2hr trip but saved 1 1/2 hrs as well as bag lugging. Could have arranged something similar the night before ...

    The next stop

A travel blog entry by sly777 on Jun 23, 2014

The next stop was a Cathedral of San Gerasimos, who was declared a Saint in the Island, because he healed lots of people walking there. Lots of them were travelling to the Cathedral to get well, they had a confidence in the methods of which he healed people. His body is still there, in a ...
