Day 61 – World’s largest copper mine

We were soon off to the plant site where we gained permission to actually enter into the massive open-pit mine. The pit is over 3 km wide and 5 km long, with future plans to extend to this mine to tie into smaller mines in the area for a total length of 15 km.
