... wrong. It didn't help that the man who I had booked our accommodation through had changed our accommodation three times. (my excuse anyway) so we got totally lost so I went to a man in a leather shop who was so lovely and he called the man whom we had booked the accommodation through. Turns out we were half and hour away so he came to collect us and took us to our accommodation via water ferry - oops! The embarrassment didn't last for long as it turns out ...

... a few beautiful, old churches. We took a Gondola ride on the Grand Canal which was an amazing experience and worth the memory..... It was a completely different experience than walking around. ... B called B&B3C. It was about a 10 minute walk, situated in a very narrow street but was relatively easy to find. There had been a bit of a mix up and the owner wasn't there when we arrived so we had to ring him but he was very apologetic and arrived within 10 mins. The B/B seemed very well appointed and pleasant as was the room.

After freshening up a bit (sleep did beckon heavily but I knew if we lay down we would not get up again!!), and getting some recommendations ...
