        ... stalls and heaps of fresh seafood stalls!! Now I'm not one to eat seafood, but this was amazing! I've not ever seen fresh seafood of so many different kinds all in one place. Although after looking at a few stalls it was getting a bit pongy!         ... looking the grand canal at the main city square and transport hub for water taxis, water busses and gondolas. it was vibrant with people bustling everywhere. We caught a water bus home and it was lovely to see the city from the water also. Our apartment is only 25 meters from the water bus station so we sat near the wharf with a bottle of red, some Italian takeaway and a bunch of grapes. What a lovely day and a great way to end ...

        When you really get an up close and personal look at Venice you can literally see the buildings crumbling away. The water level is now to a point where the beautifully ornate lions heads at the entrance to the 'docking areas' on some homes are now partially underwater.         ... able to drive right up to the terminal drop off point, only bag drop off point, only in Italy. With a quick goodbye we embarked the Nieuw Amsterdam.
