    After the cave visit we head west. We are going to ride over to the Italian border and the Soca Valley, looking for accommodation as we go.

    We soon find it in the little village of Ciginj near Tolmin. The Blue House is a lovely pension run by Valentin. We are soon made comfortable and after supper at the pizza house across the road we turn in after a tiring but interesting day.

    We all slowly fell in love with Slovenia, camping in the pine trees, swimming in the lake and chilling amongst the mountains.     We woke from our kind of sleep to stunning views from the windows as the train neared Villach and the Austrian Alps. We had realised that we were close to the Rosental valley, so decided that we should have a quick explore before finding a campsite with the aim of finding some tacky Rosental souvenir.     ... most slippery rocky slopes we've walked down yet. Ren was pretty quick at this, but all three of us had moments where our feet were sliding under us. For most of the two hour/7.5km trek downhill, we had to walk sideways to keep from slipping and falling.
