    Today we cruise into Corfu, Greece. It is a beautiful sight as we enter the harbour. Corfu town is shown as Kerkyra and is the capital of Corfu island. It is the third largest town on Corfu island. Corfu has over history been ruled by the Venetians, the French, and the British, and each occupier has left their own mark on the town. It is the only town in Greece with a cricket pitch! There is 3-4 thousand olive trees on the island and many are 400 years old. ...

    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    • bit of a sleep in before breakfast at about 9.30 • packed our bags and overnight bag ready to leave the hotel in the afternoon • had to check out of rooms at 11 so went down by the pool all morning - pretty boring • had lunch at the hotel - ceasar salad and pita bread with tzatziki with a cocktail • sat in the lobby for about an hour waiting to leave • raff had to reverse down ...

    Woke up at 4am . Had shower then get ready . A bit sad to leave Andrew there . Miss him a lots but will see him in a week time when he's coming over so excited to see him . Mum and dad come pick me up at 4.50 . On the way to east midland . Had go to different road to airport cos of road work . Arrive there and parked the car and catch bus to airport . Checked in and on the times the east midland had changed a lots . Had a breakfast there. Look round the shops ...

    We woke up in beautiful Corfu, The northernmost of the Ionian Islands with a population of more than 100,000. Corfu is known for its many castles, built after numerous conquests and invasions.
