Visiting Barrow, Alaska was a true eye-opening experience. We got to the Fairbanks airport at 6:15 am. There were only a few of us waiting by the gate, so we figured it would be a pretty empty plane. I didn't have a good sleep with thinking about things such as getting a rental car, so many places were sold out or else they were totally exorbitant in price.
