Dann hinüber zur Rogers-Arena (Eishockey) und zum Football Station. Wobei eishockey-mäßig gerade nicht viel los ist, weil die ganze NHL streikt - also die Spieler. Dafür ist aber in der selben Ecke auch gerade ein großes Zirkuszelt vom Cirque du Soleil aufgebaut - natürlich sind die Tickets auch nicht gerade zum Schnäppchenpreis zu haben... Wir haben nämlich schon am Anfang gemerkt, dass wir mehr arbeiten als nur für freie Unterkunft gedacht ist. Wir mussten vier Häuser putzen, waren Rezptionisten, die Leute klopften früh morgens oder spät abends an unsere Tür mit irgendwelchen Fragen und wir mussten nachts für Ruhe sorgen.

Canada Day
... come in, it was all good!!!!! Lucas was fine, his nose wasn't broken, he had a minor brain trauma and had to take it easy for 24 hours. We were reunited before 8pm for a lovely dinner and soon the kids went off to bed and we kicked back with a couple of cocktails to finish the stress of the day. It was a crazy day: from celebrating Canada Day to worrying about Lucas to the relief of knowing he was ok. But, all ended well and we are looking forward to a less dramatic day ...
