      ... by had a roof covered in snow...but the kids missed it! When we made it to the seafront (Marni still walking, although we had done 1,2,3....swing! - Brody is just too heavy though.) There was snow in the Lakes District hills. Yeah...very exciting.

      This morning I was very tired and it was difficult to get out of bed, probably due to the lost hour and the fact that the mornings are getting darker the further north we go. So it was about 9.40am before I got out of my pit, and got washed and dressed. We then decided to go and get some exercise, so we went up and did five laps (equivalent to one mile) round the promenade deck in the crisp air.

      ... s and three glasses of free ‘champagne’. However, since we’re travelling all-inclusive, it’s all gratis, so the thrill of getting a freebie isn’t quite the same.

      Then it was off to dinner, where once again we ate a sumptuous meal and I enjoyed a glass of chilled Lanson’s champagne, to celebrate our 100,000 nautical miles.

      ... no time before we were pulling into Lime Street, bang on time. It was then just a case of getting the Metro a couple of stops along, to James Street, where a lively pub “The Liverpool”, was conveniently situated next door.

      ... and the Pleasure Beach plus a top rated sit down chip shop. This made striking a few things off the list fairly easy. Moorbank House was also a good choice as for 141 for three nights we got a clean, fresh (but compact) room and a stonking breakfast that set us up for the day ahead.
