The contrast between the busy, noisy, manic streets of Kuta to the quiet, hippie, bohemian arty Ubud is exactly what we wanted. ... turned out to be impossible considering the distances between the particular tourist attractions. We didnīt realize that Bali was such a big island. It would be obviously possible to go around the island on a motorbike but we would have to make a road trip and stay in a different place for at least one or two nights.
