The morning was filled with a supermarket breakfast, finally finding a laundrette (even if it was very over priced) and a surf lesson. Lucy had had ear ache for a few days so didn't want to try surfing, but as everyone else on the beach seemed to have a surf board I decided to give it a go. Nearing home I ask about other areas to visit and we make a plan for me to hire him again on Wednesday to visit Ubud, especially the Safari park. For up to 12 hours in and around Ubud the cost is US$50 for car and driver, (more if travelling further afield to cover fuel).

Back at the Grand Whizz and it's a room service dinner and gather my stuff for tomorrow's ...

... once they hear no (at least compared to some other countries).

I am struggling to think of what else to say about Kuta. We had busy days and walked around a lot. The food was good, but not as spicy/delicious as Thailand. We bartered for a few things in the markets. We saw a memorial to the victims of the nightclub bomb that went off in 2002 (I think). It was a lot of fun to people watch and wonder around the streets, but after a few days, we were ready to move on. ...
