... onto the stage turn around on the stage and drive out. Due to the intervention of World War 2 and other factors this never actually occurred, so now they are able to have the most enormous props for their performances. It was a labyrinth of corridors and rooms backstage, and our guide told us that a few weeks ago an American tourist lost contact with his group and he was lost for over 3 hours out the back before they found him!

... The road into town was awful and the sump guard on the bottom of the engine got well used twice, very glad it is there. However more importantly, to Josie, on the horizon as we entered town was an Ikea. Your guidebook and anyone you speak to who's stopped there before will tell you there's no real need to visit Novosibirsk. ... has a reputation for being unfriendly. The Russian people we have had the privelege to meet have really gone out of the way to help us so many times. Even random people on the city streets have approached us and tried to point us in the right direction and get us off the bus at the right stop, without us even asking for help.
