Bali is and was paradise. We spent our days relaxing by the pool, eating in warungs (incredibly cheap family owned restaurants that display the food in a glass cabinet at the front of the shop. Heading down the main road (which is about 2 blocks), lined with bars, restaurants, and a couple of shops. The street ends in a parking lot at the beach and the start of the short boardwalk. The beach is nothing to write home about. It is more a bay than anything with no surf. But it's a comfortable, friendly tiny town and we like it. We plan to stay for a few days.
