This morning the Crystal clear waters of West Nusa Tinggara beckoned the eager little snorkellers on our trip.  We boarded yet another rickety boat into which i guess the motor from our tourist bus from 3 days ago had been fitted.  Similar noises but i felt confident that if it sank i could swim,  where as in the tourist bus i would've been less …

From here we went back ...

I also did deep dives, navigation dives and current dives. During the last evening, I also did a night dive, which was absolutely amazing. The marine life was really different in the night! We also saw 2 anemones hermit crabs fighting to get in the same shell! The first one didn't want to budge from his shell while the one outside ...

Hello & Goodbye, Bali. Hello Lombok.

... we left Ubud yesterday for a 30km ride to the ferry at Padangbai. It was a bit of a tedious and incredibly slow 4-hr ferry ride, sitting on horribly uncomfortable, plastic covered seats. Thank goodness for the invention of the Kindle. We arrived at Lombok in the early afternoon, and then had another 33km journey to Senggigi. Our hotel is once again beachfront and of the 3-star variety given this is a tourist destination. We're salvaging the last vestiges of luxury before we start going remote ...
