The treehouse was incredible! A bit of back story: A man owned the land right off the side of the river. He built a tree house as his stay in America, he traveled a lot. The house was equipped with ac and plumbing and electricity it was mind blowing. He went ...

This past Sunday on the Winter Solstice, we headed down to South Carolina for a holiday trip to Congaree National Park. Since it’s pretty much a great big swamp, winter is definitely the best time to visit. To fill the tank on this truck can cost $750! Besides fueling there ...

... of company ethics, drama, or my own misery. Working in the AmeriCorps has open my mind to new career paths, I have embraced my compassion for others and have learned so much. I could not imagine a more rewarding job while being surrounded by more caring and warm hearted people. My supervisors are amazing people so dedicated and empowered by their careers. Not only is it a rewarding job but it is fun! We do a lot of event planning and "family ...

... Counting all modes of transportation (cars, big and little planes, train, motor home, buses, and ship---see pics) we covered a total of 10,295 miles. Our legs feel like you could double that if walking is thrown into the mix. Impressive for us but still relatively meager when compared to our son Brian who reminded us that during our 43 day adventure he traveled through 14 airports from SC to Italy to Netherlands to SC to Florida to SC to ...
