Sunroute Hiroshima

... for 1 week already. We are currently in the Shin-Osaka train station and awaiting the shinkansen fast train to take us to Hiroshima. Bill, once again, did a marvellous job of getting us safely from the hotel to the local subway and then onto Shin-Osaka ...

... but I learned a lot and I'm thankful for that. The next day we went to Miyajima, a lovely island 30 minutes ferry ride away from Hiroshima. The tram that takes you to the docks is pretty slow (took almost one hour to arrive to the docks), but it's a nice ...

... it will be really worthwhile and eye-opening. The weather was so lovely, I had a wak around before we met up for Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. I can guarrantee that (unless you were on the tour too) you will NEVER have even seen anything like this before. ...

... but still! Fortunately I was 800 meters lower in about 20 minutes, much warmer down there. Flying again on the shinkansen to Hiroshima. Set myself a new landspeed record: 333 kilometers per hour! Not that you really notice, the ride is very smooth adn ...

... it was just past nine when the phone or something woke me up, but I'd said I'd meet Carli and her dad for a morning out in Hiroshima. Oh well, I still had a seafood miso soup (beware of the shells!) and an onigiri waiting for me, so I stepped out into yet ...

... were standing – um, we then figured out that we were looking at the correct place for the Sunroute Plaza Hotel but for the one in Hiroshima – god, it was so funny! People were watching these stupid Aussies walking back and forth like ...

... wheat (?) in it.  Pillows galore (at least four, and more if we wanted them), and nice pillows, at the Crown Plaza in Hiroshima. Four pillows at the Hearton in Kyoto and four again at the B in Nagoya, but back to two small, different pillows here at ...
