... across a batting cage. It was out of place for the area. We both gave it a whirl. 25 balls for 300 yen. I went twice and tired myself out. It was pretty fun. I did laundry once I got back to K's. ... look very nice for the few minutes that was clear.
We checked in at the hotel which is a traditional Japanese hotel with mats and no shoes in the room. It has it's own hot spring in the basement. We went for a nice soak. The hot spring pools are segregated and no clothes are allowed.
Dinner was traditional Japanese banquet called Kaiseki. It was more of an art display than a meal. Six courses later, we were full. Sake was great. ...

... the resident hotel dog Haru, a black lab who is also a therapy dog. Sweet dog, feeling absolutely at home in the hotel lobby. This evening we have dinner in the Japanese restaurant, they reserved a nice table in a tatami room for us. Excellent food and service.
