Day 6: Monkey! Monkey! Monkey!

By this stage, all of us were a little sick of masses of monkeys, so we went for a walk up to the uppermost look out point. This gave an absolutely spectacular view across Kyoto. With that done, we headed back down the mountain, and back to the stupid crowds in Arashiyama.

Strange Meats On a Stick
... an older guy from San Francisco who was friendly. We came prepared with snacks and bento (box) lunches. The Japanese countryside is very hilly and green. It was cool to shoot by countless small towns with their trademark thatched roofs, and also the farms and rice paddies, many which are under water. Not to sound to lame, but it was just really nice.
