Vandaag eigenlijk niet veel gedaan (het is hier nu ongeveer 14u) maar het regent hier al de hele dag. Deze ochtend een uurtje of 2 gaan wandelen maar was natuurlijk volledig al doorweekt na 10min.
En je kan hier eigenlijk niks anders doen dan buiten wandelen dus RUSTDAG !

For our last day in Tokyo we splashed out and did a day trip to Mt Fuji. We packed up our backpacks, left our little hotel and made our way across town - during rush hour. Pretty difficult with a giant bag! We stored our bags in a locker at the station and got a bus to Mt fuji. ... wind. Mark was wearing shorts. Will be zero at the Mt? We are now in the bus going there, will see.

Arrived at Mt Fuji, the 5th step (total of 9 steps). very foggy, windy and cold. Sooo foggy that the top of the Mt was fully covered. So we walked around in the shops, the food was good though, corn and Mt Fuji cake (must try).

Taxi heading for onzen now, FujiYama Onzen. About 1000¥ taxi from the train station. The price for this Onzen (1800¥) ...

... a few Americans who’d been climbing since about 8:30pm the previous night. I’d read that this was another way to do it to catch the sunrise… they said they’d have to sprint back down the mountain in 3hrs though to get their bus!

The funniest thing that happened during the sunrise was a fellow tour member had climbed the mountain in a suit and proceeded to pose in front of the rising sun ...
