... the most intricate one requires more than 300 manipulations to open! By the time we finished shopping, it has started to rain. We adjusted our plans and visited a private museum (there are hundreds of them around the country) with a great view of the lake. Mt Fuji unfortunately was behind rain clouds. We find a small road leading towards the lake and there even is a large parking lot, couple of small restaurants and a small shrine. This is apparently THE spot from where to view Mount Fuji, when he is visible that is. There is also a large rock with a story carved in it in Japanese characters and there is soft music playing from somewhere near that stone. Too bad we can't ...

We have done another bullet train today and travelled nearer to Tokyo. This afternoon we had some scrummy tempura for lunch and then went on the cruise ship around the lake. We did see Mount Fuji briefly from the train this morning but unfortunately it was too cloudy this afternoon to see it. We were going up on the cable car today but they are not running at the moment so this is why we did the boat. This afternoon we arrived at our ...
