At the morning I went to the palace, walked in the blooming gardens. We had an English tour at 10 - wonderful. you see the palace only from the outside, but she explains nice.

Then I went to Nijo CASTLE - the castle was destroyed long ago, not rebuilt. There is a huge palace of the Tokogawa Sougunate, date 1603, with painted slide doors. I got so exaited, that I paid for an audio - tells nothing. The gardens are nice

... basically a "ninja alarm". Other highlights were the 1001 Buddhas in the longest wooden building in Japan and drinking from a waterfall at a shrine to give us good health.

    ... good, but I couldn't really tell you, because it either looked unappetising, or we couldn't identify it. Either way we weren't about to eat it. So the girls ate the potato wedges, which were the only thing we saw being bought out hot because they ran out at one point. I tried to eat the Western dishes, in a poor attempt to try and get some of my money's worth. I kinda wished I hadn't. It was just bad. Reminded me a bit of hobo food at a free soup ...
