I finally got a good nights sleep. I left a pile of garbage in the hotel room, because I had been packing all of it around. I repacked better too. I left the hotel at 8:45 am (five minutes early!). I drove to the Honda Collection Hall/Motegi Twin Ring again. I picked up the souvenir I wanted, and saw parts of the museum that I blazed through before. We find a small road leading towards the lake and there even is a large parking lot, couple of small restaurants and a small shrine. This is apparently THE spot from where to view Mount Fuji, when he is visible that is. There is also a large rock with a story carved in it in Japanese characters and there is soft music playing from somewhere near that stone. Too bad we can't ...

To Hakone

... accompanied by a seismic boom, kind of like a thunder clap. With all the volcanic and seismic activity in the Hakone area that comes as no surprise. Between 4-7 PM they serve free champagne in the lounge of the hotel, there are quite a few guests taking the hotel up on their offer. Dinner at the hotel, we enjoy a nice dinner in their French Restaurant. In the tatami room a comfy futon is made up for Juliet, we all enjoy a good night ...
