... for a few hours before my connecting flight to LA. I LOVE Japan already and I've only seen the airport! P.S. Another good thing about my change of plans is that I'll get back some of the day I lost when I crossed the international date line (6 January 2014). I actually arrive in LA before I leave Tokyo... We decided to spend our MLK Day at the sumo tournament in Tokyo. We hopped on the train with friends and got to Tokyo in time for an early lunch. We enjoyed our lunch at Pepper Lunch and seated all around us in this tiny place were sumo wrestlers! These guys weren't as big as I imagined one would be.

After sleeping most of the plane trip, since I had a c******nay whilst we were grounded in Carins for a couple of hours, I wasn't quite ready for bed. After giving up on watching Japanese TV I had a lovely Skype chat with Jack and watched an episode of the Vampire Diaries before rugging up for bed.

Riding the bullet train for the first time and coming from Sydney, Australia was an experience. Our trains are lucky to hit 100kmph while the bullet trains glide along the tracks at what feels like 10 x the speed. It's just one of the many experiences you have to have when in Japan.

... because I was really choked up.

We have decided (but haven't told the others), that every two years we would go to each others countries for a get together. Sounds perfect to me. We are going to last forever - a Filipino, a Malay, an Indian, and Aussie and when he is not lost, another Aussie. I love them.

Then we left that castle. Over the day I have learnt a very important lesson - wearing heels to look nice in the morning is so painful in the afternoon. ...
