... showing the way to go, emergency lanes and things that are not allowed. Although it was extremely crowded it was still an interesting experience. On my last full day I went to see the emperor at the imperial palace. They only open the palace on 2 days a year and the entire royal family appears on a balcony to give a short speech. Everyone had Japanese flags that they waved around like mad. Also an interesting experience.

I had taught her to walk off leash, she was starting to just walk beside me and not runoff too far unless we were playing tag on the beach. She was great at instructions and was started to enjoy taking car rides with me. The day of our separation was another story though. She knew what was happening. We arrived late at night in Uwajima, but before our last train journey we'd thought to call ahead and book a night at a hostel. The owner was nice enough to pick us up at the train station and he drove us up to our hostel on top of a hill overlooking Uwajima. Marvelous Market
... was, possibly the most so far. To my surprise the train had no bathroom, and would take 2 hours to arrive. If you get off, the next train isn’t for 2 hours. I was getting desperate when we got to a station where someone had placed a large rock on the tracks. Deliberately. This was a very serious matter. Uwajima
... auch eher eine
Übernachtungsmöglichkeit auf dem Weg nach Matsuyama. Die Stadt selber ist aber nett anzusehen, es gibt hier viele traditionelle japanische Häuser. Das Hostel lag auf einem Hügel, daher hatte ich einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Stadt als ich Abends ankam. Leider war ich der einzige Gast im Hostel. Ich hoffe, im Sommer ist hier mehr los. So verbrachte ich den Abend mit lesen, da es wirklich nichts zu tun gab.
