I've never been to Hiroshima yet.
It's not to blame someone now. It's a history, but there are many histories that shouldn't be forgotten... not only these nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki ...

... couldn't seem to keep their hands out of it. I still have bruises on my back from being pelted by snow balls. Central heating (believe it or not) was also a problem. Hokkaido, unlike the rest of Japan, has central heating in hotels/schools/restaurants/etc. This seemed great at first...but turned out to be a problem for all us Kansai folk who aren't use to it anymore. Although the heat was turned off completely ...

We're in Sapporo now and it's absolutely amazing. However the hostel is charging ten yen per freaking minute to use the internet - which adds up to roughly $10 AUD an hour. So there won't be any further posts until we reach Tokyo again in another three days.

... in August when we first arrived.) Day #2: Up early for a delicious buffet breakfast in the hotel, and then caught the train with a ton of other JET's to go SKIING!!! It's always exciting to ski, but especially in Japan!! I had read the conditions were great, a ton of snow, all packed powder. Lily had never skied before so once we got all set up I tried to teach her some of the basics on the bunny slope. She caught on really quickly and did a great job the whole day ...

... mat room where we are seated. Kawamori tells us that he's invited an employee of his to join us for dinner. There are no menus in sight and the two kimono-clad servers just start bringing tall draft beers and food. Soon our group's fourth member arrives. His name is Yugo Imazu, he's about our age and we get the impression that he's one of Kawamori's rising young stars. We also learn that he hadn't been planning on having dinner with the president of the company ...

... Park. In Sapporo, I paid a visit to not only the festival venue, but also Old Government Building, the Clock Tower and Sapporo Olympic Games venue. I also visited a glass-making factory in Otaru. I went there with my uncle and aunt and it was the first and last time to travel with them.
