Yes, watch your wallet! A review of Sixth Avenue Inn
Booked a 2 night stay through Seattle Super Saver at 6th Avenue. I called the hotel a month later to confirm, and was told my reservation was for one night (although my written confirmation showed 2 nights). When he asked if I want the reservation changed to 2 nights I said yes. I asked about mileage points and he rudely told me that he could double the price of the room and then give me mileage points. Very unfriendly fellow. Few days later I called 6th Avenue's toll free number to confirm that my stay was changed to 2 nights. Receptionist advised me that when 6th Avenue changed it to 2 nights he also raised the nightly rate by $15. I was shocked that he could raise the price of the room without telling me. I called Seattle Super Saver to complain and cancel. The manager apoligized, but could not find me a room at another hotel for the same price. I called her back a day later to give her some time to find another hotel room, but she said there was nothing available for family of 3 at a comparable rate. I asked how 6th Avenue manager reacted to my complaint. She said she didn't talk to the manager, but left a message and received no response. This was a bad experience on all levels.
