Wow! A review of Turtle Nest Inn
I write this review with mixed emotions. The Turtle Nest Inn (TNI) is a jewel that I might prefer to keep hidden but that wouldn't be fair to Cayman visitors interested in the finest accommadations, and even less fair to the owners and operators, Alain and Marleine. We stayed at TNI the first time we visited Cayman. We found the island so delightful - peaceful and laid-back - that we knew we'd be back. That decided, we looked around extensively for alternative lodging, only to discover that TNI is without peer on Cayman for our tastes. The location is in Bodden Town, off the beaten path - but not too far. We were able to spend a couple of days in the lively Georgetown scene, deep sea fishing, swimming with the sting rays, and visiting the other attractions in Cayman, but we could always return to the romantic isolation of the TNI. Much of the time we just hung out and wandered along the beaches there. In six days we saw no more than eight people on the beach, four of whom were locals and the others guests with us at TNI.
Not only is the TNI clean, well-furnished and tasteful, but the owners take it to another level with their friendly and courteous service.
They were our best source for information on restaurants, tourist attractions as well as more mundane things like the best place to buy groceries. The TNI is tops!
