Would recommend it A review of Comfort Inn Historic Area
We stayed at the hotel in July 2003, with our 5 year old son. We were very pleased with the size of our king jacuzzi suite & its price. We were allowed to check in at 9:00 a.m. (check-in is normally 3pm). We stayed in an interior room - this hotel also has exterior rooms. The cleaning service was very good. The outdoor pool was very nice - offered lounge chairs & other patio furniture and was well maintained - our son loved swimming in it. Ice was always available. Had two elevators. Adequate toilet flush (ladies w/male companions know what I'm talking about).
Dowsides: The towels were not of high quality and they sometimes ran out of towels; the breakfast was not accessible (at the other end of hotel by the indoor pool); and the hot water in sink was limited; but hot in showers. Our headboard was also not connected to the bed & would wake us up when it accidentally banged into wall in middle of night.
The bed lines were of below average quality. The entrance door to our room did not spring close. No screens on window.
Overall, a clean, well-maintained hotel at a good price. Would recommend to other families & individuals.
