Would not stay there again. A review of Billings Hotel & Convention Center
I stayed at Billings Hotel and Convention Center because that was where my training was being held. When making the reservation, I verified the total rate (room + taxes). When checking in, I was told a different rate. They charge $2.75 more for an energy surcharge. They also charge you 50 cents each time you dial out, whether it's local or an 800 calling card number. As they pointed out, they do have that information posted in three convenient areas, which all happen to be at the front desk and when you are standing in a line of 20 other people who are trying to check in and get to your training on time, you don't always take the time to look at their little posted messages. They may charge you a $50.00 deposit, to be refunded upon checkout, if you are paying cash for your room. I also had to cancel the reservations for two co-workers who could not make it. At first, they could not find that these people were registered. Then they gave me a list of people who were attending that training and I found out that both of their names were mispelled. I was the one who had made the reservations for both and I spelled both of their last names for the reservation clerk since they are unusual names. On the second day of training, the conference room was freezing and we had to try and find someone to refill the coffee pots. I also guess that I am spoiled by other motels that provide a free continental breakfast. Everything considered, if there is another training at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center, I will make my room reservations for some place else.
