Wonderful Place A review of Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony
We have stayed at the Manor Club on three consecutive years. The weather was a little cool when we first stayed in April 2000 (rather like a British summer which was not what we wanted), but it was very hot (80s) in August the following year. The fixtures and fittings are up to Marriott's usual high standard. The location is lovely, it is set within three championship golf courses and Marriott owners who exchange are entitled to five/six free games of golf per week per person, so if there were two golfers they could play three times free. A cart must be used and paid for.The area is beautiful, very green with lots of trees and the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg is just lovely. I could happily live there. There are two good factory outlets about ten minutes away and the area isn't confusing to find your way around. My husband lets me out on my own and I always find my way back! The golf club is the proud possessor of two fine restaurants. One is very expensive but the other is perfectly affordable with two teenagers in tow as well.If you choose this location you will have a lovely restful vacation but not so restful that your teenagers will be bored.
