Wonderful Place to Stay A review of Marriott's Mountain Valley Lodge at Breckenridge
My wife and I travel frequently both in and out of the country. We decieded to escape the heat of summer and spent a week at this delightful Resort. It measures up to Marriott standards in every way and then some. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and willing to do what it takes to make your visit a pleasure. We had a studio suite on the 7th floor and the view of the mountains was breathtaking. The blue river, really a mountain stream, was below us so you could hear the clear mountain stream all night, very comforting. The hotel sits right on Maggies Pond which is surrounded by shops and various places to eat. The town is delightful, old Victorian and all the stores and places to eat are within easy walking distance, in fact your right by them. No fast food places here, just lovely homes converted into shops and places to eat. The town is one of the nicest places I have ever visited. I would (and will) return again and stay at the Marriott. The outdoor pool is heated and was a pleasure in August, but I'm not sure about winter. I really cannot say enough good things about this resort. Do remember that not all rooms have mountain views so if thats important, ask for one. Otherwise, come and enjoy this lovely place. Oh, if you ski, the Super6 lift to the top on Peak 9 is right next to the resort!
