Wonderful new Burlington hotel option! A review of Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Harbor

I grew up near Burlington. I return to Vermont to visit twice yearly to see family. The Radisson was the only hotel option. Wyndham bought it and now Hilton is rumored to take it over. It's old and tired. The Hilton better kick it up a notch..they have MAJOR competition now! The Courtyard was top notch from the second we walked in the door. Clean, modern and brand new with the most friendly staff, and GREAT location! I was impressed during my entire stay. I was upgraded to a suite, room 801. None of the king suites have a view though, I had a lovely view of Macy's parking garage. In the evening we had very expensive martinis in the lounge ($12.50 each). No munchie mix in the bar..just a limited bar menu. There is a fireplace in the lounge and a great view of Lake Champlain. I can't wait to go back this fall and relax in there. We missed breakfast in the restaurant since it closed at 10am...needs to alittle later. That was no problem as Church Street is a 10 minute walk away. I will definately stay here again. I hope the Courtyard will remain consistant and 1st class all the way. Great Job!
