Wonderful experience! A review of Denali Dome Home Bed and Breakfast
We are two young adults (28!) from New York, who love the high-life of the city, but also appreciate a much-needed retreat from the metropolis. The Denali Dome Home was the perfect place for us to get away. It was affordable, comfortable, and relaxing. Terry & Ann (the hosts) were warm, delightful, and conversive, but never intrusive and knew when we wanted to have time to ourselves. They were very responsive to all of our requests -- all we needed to do was ask.
The Dome Home is an architectural beauty (get the room on the top!), and just a quick 11-mile drive from the Denali National Park Entrance. It is also conveniently located for a pleasant 2-hour drive to Fairbanks for a day of dog-mushing and sight-seeing.
Breakfast was the perfect start a day of hiking. Nothing fancy -- just a generous helping of eggs & sausage, fresh fruit, granola, and all the coffee you can drink. What more do you need? And there were always cookies in the cookie jar and hot cocoa available for us when we came home.
We had a terrific overall experience at the Dome Home, and we will definitely return here to stay during our next visit to Denali!
