Won't stay here again. A review of Arizona Riverpark Inn
Our first clue not to stay here was the front desk requirement that they make a copy of a drivers license for security purposes. Our room was on the first floor, courtyard side, near a security gate to the parking lot, which did not lock. There were people going in and out of the gate for most of the afternoon and evening, and some of them looked more like vagrants than hotel guests. We complained to the front desk but the lock was not repaired. We ate at the hotel restaurant, Brennigans, and the service was inept and the food was terrible. There was a large group at the next table complaining to a manager, who kept saying the kitchen was "in transition". The breakfast bar was pretty good, though. Our room was reasonably clean, but dingy and the security bar that goes across the sliding door was broken. I did not feel safe at this property. When we left the next morning there were police cars circling the parking lot. Next time I will pay more and stay somewhere away from the freeway. Also, the photos make the place look a lot nicer than it really is. The upside is that the staff was friendly and courteous overall.
