Wish we could of stayed longer A review of Austin's Chuckwagon Lodge and General Store
My wife and I only stayed one night (10/10/04)while traveling from Moab, Ut to Bryce Canyon. We had a room on the 2nd floor in the motel part. it was of average size for 2 queen beds and was spotless. The rooms have "Direct TV" with too many channels to count. The deli/bakery and General store on-site is a very convenient. The motel is located in an oasis of large broadleaf trees (I didn't take note to what species) that also line that section of Route 24. We were there for only one night and didn't have much time to explore the town. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asked to deal with a bathroom fan that was left on in a room below ours. My wife was kind of worried when I told her we would be staying "Austin's Chuck Wagon Lodge" but we had a very good time at Austin's. My only complaint is that our stay there was far too brief.
