Will stay here again! A review of The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa
The resort is absolutely beautiful. It's a quiet and relaxing oasis (we stayed during the week, so I don't know how it is on the weekends).
You'd never think you were anywhere near Vegas...although the strip is a fairly short drive away. We're not big gamblers, but if you are a gambler just know that the casino is small. There is a larger casino in the area called Casino Montelago or you can drive to the strip. We tried 2 of the hotel restaurants. Japengo for dinner 2 times - excellent, we loved it! But note it is expensive! And Cafe Tajine for daily breakfast which also had excellent food - once again expensive for breakfast though. I enjoyed the pools - lots of seating and several cabanas. There are 2 pools - a "quiet" pool and an activity pool which is more for kids, it also has a waterslide. There is also a hot tub which we did not use - in general, I'm not a big fan of public hot tubs. Anyway, we also kayaked one morning which was fun - we were the only ones on the water. The lake is very quiet, no motorized watercraft is allowed. The hotel room was nothing spectacular but it was a good size. All in all we really enjoyed ourselves and we will return again.
