What has happened? A review of Ojai Valley Inn and Spa
We stayed at the Ojai Valley Inn earlier this year and were dismayed at the experience we had. We loved the hotel for many years, and have seen it slip in the last few years. The final straw came on our last trip. We stayed mid-week when the hotel was only half filled. I tried to make a spa appointment, no luck, wanted to go horseback riding, they were closed for the day (at 2:30?), and then thought I could go bike riding, they were locked up for the day! Our dinner that night in the restaurant was average. We agreed that the service has slipped tremendously, and brought this to managment's attention, we were dismissed by this rude person. We were staying in a $500 room. We have decided that if we really want to play golf in Ojai, we will reserve a tee time and stay at the San Ysidro Ranch or the Biltmore in Santa Barbara.
