What a rip! A review of Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey
I am not one of those people who only write in for a bad review. That being said, I was disappointed at the level of service/value of the Ritz Carlton. The only reason I stayed there was because a friend's wedding was being held there and it was the most convenient option. For a luxury hotel that charges top dollar for its rooms, I expected the highest level of detail and service. Instead, I got missing towels, slow response to my call for them (Yes...I do need to take a shower and be at the wedding in an hour), and charge after charge for everything!!! I had stayed at the Best Western Peppertree Inn in Santa Barbara the night before for less than 1/2 the cost and received a bottle of good wine at check-in, free parking, an abundance of toiletries (are Q-tips too much to ask for?), free snacks (no honor bar), coffee and a coffee maker, and best of all....TOWELS! I would never stay at the Ritz again unless I am in an extremely pretentious mood. Good luck to the rest of the Mercedes Benz crowd.
