What a horrible joke A review of Penn Hills Resort
My boyfriend and I drove (well he did) all the way from Boston for my birthday to this dump. When we first pulled up it was like entering a nightmare. Looking back, I am certain that we should have kept going when there was a police car parked in front of their office for guests who were demanding their money back because they couldn't bear another minute. So when we took one look at our room (The Mountain Villa) that teetered off the side of a dirt road, we allmost dropped right there because the room was like a bad 70's acid trip. the Elmo Red-rugs were mold infested, the bed was just horrible, the toilet was literally in the shower and the jacuzzi had the depth of an ashtray. The deck looked like a crime scene because there was what appeared to be a badly burned plastic table that was covered in glass, siding, and bricks from the "Villa". After laughing hysterically at what these people thought was worth over $200 a night, we went back to tell the woman (with many missing teeth) that we would not be taking the room because it would not ony be a health concern but that everything was totally unacceptable. The woman attempted to argue that we had the most newly renovated room. Yikes!! Oh by the way, none of their amenities that they claimed they have are what one would expect. It was the worst!!!
Penn Hills should be ashamed of themselves for false advertisement to the public and they should be reported to the better business bureau.
In conclusion, Our weekend would have been a bust had it not been for the couple that I mentioned earlier (who called the police), they recomended another resort So we went 7.2 miles up the road and stayed at Ceasars, what a time we had *smile
FYI: Word of mouth is the advertisement
