What a great weekend trip! A review of Four Seasons Hotel Houston
My husband and I spent the weekend at the Four Seasons in Houston 10/31 - 11/02. We're Dallasites so Houston is a good weekend trip. What a wonderful place! The service was impeccable, the concierge was WONDERFUL and our room was top-notch! Dinner at Quattro was fantastic but the mood was knocked down a notch or two because some quilting convention was in town and many of the people attending ate at Quattro the same night we were there. I don't want to get off on a tangent but...if you're going to eat at the hotel restaurant at the Four Seasons, do NOT wear a sweatshirt, jeans and a fanny pack and PLEASE try to use some manners while at the dinner table. Alright...back to the hotel. We stayed at the FS on the Bed and Breakfast package which included breakfast and valet. Each day we received our in-room breakfast with a duplicate receipt that said "Room Charge - $0.00" yet each day we had a charge for the meal. When I inquired about it upon checkout I was told that gratuity was not included in the package. I informed the front-desk guy that the card they gave us when we checked in did not say that anything was excluded...it said "Full American Breakfast from In-Room Dining." Each other time I stayed in a hotel on a package like this, it was specifically stated what was and was not included. The on-duty manager agreed that the wording was vague and removed the charges from our bill. Other than that, we had a FABULOUS time. The view was great, the company was great (LOL!) and we'll definitely stay at the Four Seasons again!
