Let me start out by telling you what is good about this place. The location and hotel grounds are beautiful, right on Cheat Lake. There are two golf courses, both of which are fantastic, and tthe spa and fitness facility are top notch. The tiki bar is fun in the evenings.

Now onto the bad. The actual hotel is a dump. It needs to be torn down and completely replaced. The rooms are filthy. Carpet in the rooms and in the hallways needs to be replaced. Bed linens and towels are thin and need to be replaced. The wallpaper and paint throughout the hotel was peeling. The bathroom in our room was disgusting (Management if you read this it was room 254). I am not sure it had been cleaned. The bottom of the shower/bathtub was black with mold. I would not get in it without flip-flops covering my feet. The bath and body works amenities were a nice touch but maybe that extra money should be spent on cleaning supplies. The sheets had not been changed since the last visitors had stayed in the room. When I pulled back the covers in both beds, the sheets were covered with hair (not mine). The lipstick from the previous visitor on the pillow case was a nice touch. There was a weird smell throughout the hotel that reminded me of the cheap Holiday Inns I stayed in as a child twenty years ago.

The restaurants are both terrible. The food is horrible. Reflections has no business marketing itself as a fine dining establishment because it is far from that. It really is a shame because the view is fantastic.

This hotel has really gone down hill over the last five years and it is a shame. This used to be the place to stay in Morgantown and the place to have an event, but not anymore. Management really needs to look into renovating this place to bring it back to the resort destination that it used to be. Until that happens, I will stay at the Radisson downtown.
