Well worth the extra journey A review of Corinthia Hotel Prague
My wife and I stayed at the Corinthia Towers Hotel in February last year. We only happened to come across the hotel by accident - most of the major web sites didn't seem to have the hotel available, so we booked direct. It looked a bit complicated to get to the hotel by public transport, but some careful planning before hand made the task simple.....and the hotel is right next door to a Metro station - 20metres! The hotel is probably more like a 4*, than 5*, but it is very clean and we found the staff to be helpful enough. Rooms were clean, although we paid a little extra to stay on the executive floor, which also gave you access to the lounce for free drinks and snacks - it was probably worth the extra. The pool on the top floor is really nice and offers great views. Not much locally, but there are places of interest within walking distance. Either way the metro takes you into the town centre within 5-10 minutes. The standard of hotels in Prague is not brilliant and costs are unusually high. The Corinthia Towers offers a really good compromise of cost and standard of accommodation - the extra 10 minutes on the Metro to get there is well worth it!
