We love the Boardwalk Plaza A review of Boardwalk Plaza Hotel
My husband and I just came back from a 2 nite stay at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel. What a gem! We have stayed in Dewey Beach for the last 15 or so years but unfortunately our hotel there, The Hobo Beach Hotel, was sold and currently is being demolished to make way for McMansions. We loved the Hobo Beach and I cried at its demise.
But we walked into the Boardwalk Plaza and were truly blessed by the beach gods. The staff was most courteous. The decor is fabulous. Done in a shabby chic decor with so many nice touches. A restaurant is on the premises and we did have a good breakfast there one morning. (A hint for a cheapy breakfast that the locals go to is the Robin Hood Diner on the south side of Rehoboth Ave.)
We stayed in a suite. You walk into the bedroom area with two most comfortable queen beds. Wonderful bedding, nice plush rugs thoughout the suite. The couch in the sitting room is real furniture and most comfortable. The sitting room also has a large t.v. Wonderful shower and nice bath products. Also included is a hairdryer, iron and full ironing board, and an umbrella(!). Another nice touch was the door that shuts off the bedroom from the bath area and another that shuts off the front sitting room from the bath area. So no one is disturbed while sleeping. I am an early riser and my hubby sleeps later. No problem, I just got up, closed the sliding door (real wood, not some flimsy crap) and did my bath and sat in the sitting area and read or watched t.v. The Hotel is oceanfront. The beach is Rehoboth is smaller than some others but this makes your balconey even closer!
If you have never been to Rehoboth, you must visit. Many shops and goumet restaurants. Some of our favorites are: The Cultured Pearl, Dos Locos, Blue Moon and who could resist Grotto Pizza.
The is a large gay population in Rehoboth. This makes every experience special. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. The shops and restaurants are so nicely decorated. The shops offer many boutique items.
If you are looking for an enjoyable stay, try the Boardwalk Plaza in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
