WAY overpriced A review of Hallmark Resort Cannon Beach
Don't let the pictures on their website fool you.. the hotel is not nearly as nice as they make you believe. We paid about $210 (per night) for an ocean-front room but it should have cost us closer to $60.We were given the option of a jacuzzi-tub for an extra $50 but we decided against it. Instead, we had a small kitchen where the fridge was REALLY noisy and I had to unplug it during the night. The bed was a pull-down bed (you pull it down from the wall) and the linen was really, really shocking. Two sheets and a really thin blanket was all we got. There was a balcony but almost no privacy as there's no separation between the balconies. Anyone on the balcony next door can look straight into your hotel room. Some privacy would be nice. Also, there's no restaurant in the hotel - no room service and no mini-bar.Honestly, I would never go here again. If it weren't for the view, they wouldn't get away with charging more than $50-$60 for the room. 75% of your faire is towards location - I'm not prepared to pay that much.
