Was Treated Rudely for No Justibiable Reason A review of Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows

My husband and I stayed in Santa Monica's Fairmont Hotel for a three day conference with for my broker/dealer. On the third day, the hotel informed us that we were being evicted from our room and that we were not covered for that evening, after locking us out of our room. They were giving our room to another party. After hours of delay, and having to prove that we were registered for that evening, we were asked to go move all of our belongings and go to another room on another floor, right in the middle of our needing to get ready for a gala that evening. We were treated rudely, and lied to. The front desk claimed to call our conference planner and ask about our reservations, which they said was denied, when in fact it was not. We were humiliated and spent several hours of misery. Additionally, I would like to add that I slipped in the tub, which was incredibly slippery without a mat. The spigot came out of the side of the tub, instead of the end, and I could not stop very hot water from pouring from it while the shower was running. I was scalded upon slipping by that water coming from that faucet. I have never before slipped in a shower. We will never return to this hotel. There were no apologies, nor concessions made to us.
