Warm Greetings at Chez Pierre A review of Chez Pierre Bahamas
Our first trip to Long Island was probably the best holiday I have taken in a long time. Chez Pierre Bahamas is a simple but elegant place for a nice relaxing vacation.
The rooms all over look the beach and ocean and there is no need for air conditioning since the tradewinds help keep you cool day and night.
Chef Pierre uses the freshest local seafoods to bring you his own creations each day. Breakfast and Dinner were included in our package and lunch was a minimal fee and was adequate while out on the water fishing.
We chartered a fishing guide named Locksley Cartwright. He was a great guide and a lot of fun to fish with on the flats. We are in the fishing industry in Key West and were very happy with the days we spent fishing with Locksley. He has some superior knowledge being a native to Long Island, Bahamas and not only showed us some great fishing and diving but also a tour of the southern half of the island including the Long Island Museum.
I would recommend this island getaway highly to people who enjoy the simplicity of a great relaxing time where you don't dress up for dinner, don't mind sand in your shoes, and enjoy nature and a new adventure in a new place. Keep in mind you are on an island and resources are limited. The water we used to shower was brackish (salt and fresh) but we had a few jugs of fresh water to rinse with and that's all that we needed.
Anyone looking for a great adventure on a new Bahamian island should visit Chez Pierre.
