Villa Florida A review of Villa Florida

The location is great, in my experience the Villa Florida apartments were not. The rooms were shabby, the bath was rusty, the bedroom smelled damp and musty and it was a waste of time buying any food which could not be stored in the fridge due to mite/bug infestation. In defence of the apartments another couple we spoke to did not have these problems, (though we did think they were a bit mad!) The pool area was kept beautifully clean and tidy but the pool was very cold. We used 'Tropic' car rental which was very good and cheap too. The best restaurant we found was the Mona Lisa, the atmosphere was very relaxed and it was airy, spacious and the food was good. Corralejo was geared up for tourists. The Jandia beaches are beautiful and definately worth the hours drive. A must for art lovers is the 'Centro de Arte' in La Oliva, a really nice place with very helpful staff. Finally, a good family day out is the 'Oasis Park' near Costa Calma, the reptile show is impressive (no babies involved just alligators!) I would definately return to Fuerte but not to Villa Florida.
