Very, very good experience A review of Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh Crabtree Valley
I travel to Raleigh, NC frequently and always try to stay at the Embassy Suites Crabtree. It was booked the weekend I wanted to stay and I went shopping around for another Hillton Brand hotel (gotta get those points!). I stumbled across Homewood Suites and from start to finish, it was outstanding in every way. High quality, good value, and convenient. It is a bit hard to find but that shouldn't take away from anything - it's right behind Crabtree Valley Mall off of Highway 70/Glenwood Avenue.
It reminded me of a lodge up in the mountains. Beautiful. Very clean. Great staff. Comfortable beds. Outstanding hot breakfast in the morning (eggs, bacon, waffles, etc...)
It is not full service like an Embassy Suites because the "free" drinks and made to order breakfast are not available although the free drinks are offered Monday through Thursday. It does not have an on-site restaurant, though I highly recommend the Tavola Rossa italian restaurant that is right next door. If you like Italian food in an eclectic atmosphere, go there. Tip: it is not a place to take children - entrees run about 15-25 bucks and it's more of a romantic place and not a family restaurant.
From now on, I'll try to stay here instead of the Embassy Suites at Crabtree.
