Very satisfied, despite the problematic start A review of Panorama Hotel Prague
We ended up in the Corinthia Panorama after our booking at the Corinthia Towers could not be accommodated due to "technical problems" (is this code for overbooking???). We were promised upgrades to Executive rooms if we agreed to move to the Panorama, although on arrival, this took a bit of negotiation at the front desk to actually obtain.
Once our exec rooms were allocated, we were generally very satisfied with the accommodation. The rooms were fairly large with a king bed and modern decor (lots or cherry wood furniture). Bathroom was a little bit small but was spotlessly clean. My only complaint about the room was the fact that the cooling circuit on the aircon was not operational, so only ambient air could be circulated. This left the room a little overheated at times.
The hotel location is not brilliant, being in an uninspiring residential district, dominated by blocks of apartments, about 6 miles south of the city centr. However the nearby metro station "Pancrac" (sp?) is only 5 stops (including a change at Muzeum) from the very centre.
The hotel restaurant Piazza was fine - good pizza/pasta at reasonable prices and good service.
Considering we booked a last minute deal and ended up in executive rooms, I was pleased with our stay at the Corinthia Panormana and would stay hear again for the same price.
