Very Nice! A review of Adobe Grand Villas
My husband and I stayed at the Adobe Grand Villas for our honeymoon. We were looking for a quiet, secluded place without a lot of crowds, and the Grand Villas met our expectations. The breakfasts were WONDERFUL and the staff was by far the friendliest folks we have dealt with. We did have one problem, which the staff tried their hardest to remedy. At the time we stayed there, they were completing construstion on some of the villas. The construction started very early, and went on until about 4:00 every day. Since this is an intimate property, the noise tended to ruin a nice, quiet day. The staff was willing to upgrade us to one of their newest and largest villas, which we declined (we stayed in the Cactus Flower, and it was BEAUTIFUL!). They also brought us up a tray of fruits, cheeses and chocolates to make things a bit better. In the end, the staff had communicated to the construction workers not to use the buzz saw at 8:00 in the morning (and gave us a $50 voucher to use in the giftshop) -- and the rest of our week long stay was nice.
Overall, we felt the Villas were in a fine location, pretty close to most attractions. Even better was the fact that we were able to visit their other property and have use of their mountain bikes - which was located close to many beautiful biking trails.
My husband and I both thought the price was a tad steep - but it was our honeymoon and we were willing to pay a bit extra. Now that the construction should be completed, this would be the perfect place for a quite little escape, with great breakfasts and scenery!
*** By the way, the linens on the beds (and the bed itself) were out of this world! I know it must sound odd going on about the bed, but trust me... it was like sleeping on a cloud.
