Very Nice A review of Sheraton Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel
My son and I stayed at the Sheraton Gateway Suites Chicago O'Hare on Sunday, July 9, 2005. We waited for quite a while for the shuttle which is supposed to come to the airport every 20 minutes but we waited longer than that and we called the hotel twice to very when it would be arriving at the airport.
Once we reached the hotel, we were greeted by pleasant and helpful hotel staff. Our suite was very nice. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. Despite being right next to the airport, we did not hear any airport noise. The cost of our room was $85/night and was well worth it. The bath was very nice, large and had adequate towels. The decor of the suite was tasteful but not over the top. I felt very comfortable.
We looked at the hotel menu and room service menu and decided because of the prices to look elsewhere for options. We opted for Harry Carey's at the hotel next door. We did so because both the hotel bar and restaurant had no guests in them dining. Not a good sign. However, Harry Carey's was very busy and fun.
The hotel offers internet but at $10.00 per day -- too expensive. We also noticed that if you drive to the hotel you have to pay for parking.
We took the airport shuttle back to the airport on Sunday morning early and it was quick and the driver was helpful and friendly.
